The governing Social Liberal Union (USL) would get 63 percent of the vote if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday and the opposition Democratic Liberals (PDL) would get 17 percent, while in case the parties making up the USL ran on their own, the Social Democrats (PSD) would win 43 percent, the Liberals (PNL) 20 percent and the PDL 15 percent, shows a SOCIOPOL survey sent AGERPRES.
When asked: "Should general elections for the Parliament be held next Sunday, how much interested would you be in such elections?", 38 percent of the respondents said they would be very much interested, 28 percent said rather interested, 20 percent said very little or not interested at all and 13 percent said they would be rather little interested.
The poll sample included 1,014 persons representative for the Romanian adult non-institutionalized population and the data was collected over Oct. 5-10 by phone interview. The research carries an error margin of plus or minus 3.1 percent and can be 95 percent trusted.AGERPRES
