FRK WKC was the only federation to represent Romania in Szczecin.

Next to Romania in the medals ranking came Italy (22 gold, 20 silver, 38 bronze), Poland (19-25-48), England (14-15-20), Belarus (14-8-8), the United States (10-9-13), etc.

'I am very glad about this results in the federations ranking. The conclusion of our participation is we got more than we expected,' FRK WKC and WUKF President Liviu Crisan told AGERPRES.

Gold medal winner George Alexandru (CS Rapid Bucharest, 70 kg category) declared: 'It was a successful competition for me. On my way to gold I met opponents from the United States of America and from Poland. The Polish, representing the host country, was the strongest. Attendants' support — my colleagues first — was a big help; their cheering was fantastic.'

Romania sent more than 100 athletes to this competition, covered and broadcast live by the National News Agency AGERPRES over October 16-19.AGERPRES
